Supermarket Packaging

Australian supermarkets form a $130.2 billion industry and are the primary source of household plastic packaging waste. While all claim to champion sustainability, the question remains: who is truly leading the charge?

Our supermarkets are major contributors to the packaging we unwillingly consume, and a significant amount of this plastic ends up as waste. In collaboration with the Australian Marine Conservation Society, we’re closely monitoring the major Australian supermarkets to evaluate their plastic packaging practices and encourage a shift towards more sustainable alternatives, such as refill.
